Malinko training now CPD accredited

Training on Malinko will now earn Continuing Professional Development credits for community health teams, district nurses and social care professionals who use the software.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) allows healthcare professionals to manage their own learning and growth throughout their careers. CPD can be used to keep clinical skills and knowledge up to date and ensure safe and legal practice. This continuous learning can lead to additional responsibilities or progress to a particular specialism. It is recognised as a vital part of the Nursing and Midwifery Council revalidation programme for registered nurses and midwives.

 Amanda Hobson, Benefits Realisation Lead at Malinko, said:

“Community services are often left behind when it comes to advances in technology and there are always pockets of resistance when something new is introduced. It’s natural to be nervous when your way of working is being transformed.

“Community nurses are often described as the hidden heroes of healthcare, but without data collected in systems like Malinko, there is no way to truly evidence their activity and give an accurate reflection of the impact they have on patient care and hospital prevention.

“CPD can help create more digital champions and widen awareness of the benefits of technology in relation to care, this will help to put community services at the centre of excellence for care closer to home and promote models of care to support communities.”

Reece England, Lead Trainer at Malinko, said;

“It was a rigorous and thorough process for Malinko to follow to achieve accreditation.

“By incentivising Malinko training, we’re hoping that more clinicians will be encouraged to shape the digital journey for themselves and their colleagues and may become advocates for change when they see the benefits, from safer scheduling to a better understanding of capacity and demand.

Account manager training is a crucial step of the implementation process as this is when the user really gets to understand how Malinko can help teams, staff patients and caseloads. It’s fantastic that our NHS partners will now receive credits for the time and effort they put into digital learning.”
