Ian Bailey joins Malinko as Clinical Strategy Consultant
Ian Bailey joins Malinko as Clinical Strategy Consultant, further strengthening the clinically led team at Malinko. He is the latest clinician to join Malinko following the appointment of Amanda Hobson in September 2021.
Ian qualified in 2000 and become a District Nurse and Queen’s Nurse working in the community, going on to become a manager and leader of several community services. As part of his role, he oversaw the development and configuration of digital solutions to support the management of community services, eventually making the leap over to the supplier side in 2015 to help put the clinician’s voice at the heart of product and strategy development.
Ian said, “I’m delighted to join Malinko as a consultant as I’ve seen how e-scheduling software is not only transforming how community teams coordinate delivery of care, but also helping these long-overlooked services to articulate their value. I’m acutely aware of the need for technology as an enabler in community to gain a true understanding of capacity and demand and this will be invaluable for ICSs, PCNs and Neighbourhoods.”
Rob McGovern, co-founder of Malinko said, “We’re delighted to have been able to attract someone of Ian’s calibre to join our clinical team. Ian has extensive experience in operational, clinical and clinical informatics roles, as well as a strong product management and leadership experience on the software supplier side. Ian’s values, his passion for community nursing and his understanding of how system leaders, community healthcare professionals and their patients can benefit from Malinko’s e-scheduling and caseload management capabilities will be of great value to us and our customers.
“Being clinically-led is a key reason why community services choose Malinko. Our clinicians’ experience, empathy and insight helps our NHS partners realise the maximum return from their investment in Malinko.”
