ARTICLE: Feedback from first Greater Manchester Homecare Forum

Greater Manchester Homecare Forum What a great event! It was a shame you couldn't be there.

It was really busy, with people eagerly arriving from 11am, even though the start time as 11:30am. But it gave people plenty of opportunity to chat with each other and share experiences!

Linda Dixon from Forget Me Not Training Support gave a detailed presentation on the upcoming changes in the CQC inspection regime. You can find a copy of her presentation here.

Sarah King from the UKHCA spoke about the campaigning work they are doing and told everyone about their Costing Model, which is available to both members and non-members alike. She also commented that it was good for the UKHCA to see what is happening on the ground in Northwest England

It was agreed at the meeting that the next event would be held on Wednesday 24th September and the topic area is going to be The Care Certificate.

Carol Mitchell from Skills for Care will speak about the work they have been doing in formulating the Care Certificate.

Linda Dixon from Forget Me Not Training Support will talk about how she can help home care agencies implement the Care Certificate within their organisation.
