If this has passed you by, you probably need to know that CQC fees have increased. You can read about it on their website, alternatively, you can see the text below:
31 March 2014
We have published the registration fees that we will charge health and social care services from 1 April 2014.
As we are changing the way we regulate services, we are only making minimal changes to fees this year.
We have made a small increase towards full cost recovery from providers by:
increasing fees by 2.5 per cent for all sectors except the below. increasing fees for adult social care services by 1.5 per cent. not increasing fees for dental services. We have also:
adjusted the fee bandings for care home services to more evenly distribute fee charges. differentiated fees for single location dental services to better distinguish between smaller and larger services (this means some larger single location services will have an increase in their fees). clarified that we will use other information to confirm the number of service users for residential substance misuse and specialist college services. We will carry out another public consultation on the registration fees scheme for 2015/16 in autumn.
If you work for a health or social care service that is required to pay a fee, and you have any questions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
