Description

Bristol City Council are setting up an open framework for the provision of Community Support Services, which includes: - Day Services - Supported Living - Support to Access the Community - Time for You (Carers Service) All of the services commissioned through the framework are statutory services. Service users will have been assessed as having a statutory need by a Social Worker. Community Support Services (CSS) in Bristol are adult social care support services for adults (18+ years) with statutorily assessed eligible social care needs, which may include those with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, mental ill health, older people and carers. CSS aims to promote independence and wellbeing and enable individuals to remain in their own home or in supported accommodation within the community, avoiding residential or hospital settings, for as long as possible. This includes services provided directly to individuals (supported living, support to access the community and day services) but also to their carers (‘Time for You'), to enable them to take a break from their caring role.
