Housing related support is an approach that helps to prevent homelessness and provides people with the tools and skills to move to and maintain independent living in their community within the borough of North East Lincolnshire, reducing reliance on statutory services such as costly health and social care interventions.
The support needs may be of low, medium or high level and will be offered in supported housing, accommodation based such as hostels, or floating support to people in their own accommodation regardless of tenure. It is also provided as a means of addressing emergency situations, e.g. domestic abuse refuge and homeless accommodation.
